The Collection of Scale Models and Mock-ups containing 3,100 items can be divided into two parts: one segment focuses on military figures (lead soldiers, papier-mâché figures) and their accessories, while the second segment contains scale models and mock-ups of military vehicles and equipment.
Military figures comprise about one third of the Collection. The earliest are the Mühlhauser-type figures made by mixed technique and the 4cm high lead soldiers in their original paper boxes. Metal soldiers of different age and size, some bifacial wooden soldiers on wooden mount, papier-mâché figures (Elastolin, Lineol), textile figures with doll heads and moulded plastic soldiers can be found in the collection.
The second segment contains scale models and mock-ups of military vehicles and equipment. The Collection primarily includes commercially available toy figures, model kits and factory scale models. Most models and mock-ups are exhibited in the scale model hall of the Military Technology Park in Kecel. However, some spectacular objects can be seen in the permanent exhibitions of the Military History Museum. The latter include factory scale models produced by the onetime Manfréd Weiss Steel Manufacturing Co. on Csepel Island and by Autókut Co., as well as a wooden mock-up series that presents First World War aircraft, and a series of souvenir mock-ups of First World War military technology contrivances.
