The Collection fairly represents the historical evolution of the branches of the Hungarian Defence Forces. The nearly 1,200 military technological items from the 19th century to date include tanks, armoured transport vehicles, engineering service vehicles, artillery cannon, heavy duty machinery, interceptor aircraft, transportation vehicles, helicopters, national and regimental defence equipment.
A preponderance of the technical equipment withdrawn from the deployment of the former Hungarian People’s Army, subsequently from the Hungarian Defence Forces is preserved in addition to artillery equipment dating from the First and Second World Wars. These are armoured and vehicular technology, engineering, anti-chemical and logistics equipment, radio detection and locating technical equipment, anti-aircraft and artillery missiles, aircraft, the minesweepers of the former Danubian Flotilla, and mostly all of them in their original condition.
